About Meend
Meend is named for the glide between two notes, the ornament that gives Hindustani music its voice. The app is made for the hours of riyaz behind every one of them.
Product 01
Your riyaz, heard.
Meend listens as you play the bansuri. It times your practice, follows your swaras, and keeps you company with a tanpura and tabla tuned to your Sa.
What it does
Meend separates your flute from the room and lights up each swara in your notation as you play it.
The whole session, each item and each anga are timed for you, so practice is measured rather than guessed.
Accompaniment tuned to your Sa, with thekas in Teentaal, Ektaal, Jhaptaal, Rupak, or one you write yourself.
Pages for 32 raags, 12 taals and 10 thaats, and a glossary for every term along the way.
Every three minutes of playing opens a petal on a lotus, and your level rises steadily toward Ustad.
Record your riyaz, keep reference recordings, and send them to a teacher when you're ready.
